Kevin Hart; The Protective Dad
Humor proves to be the winner once again as this commercial and the concept behind it are hilarious. The ad features comedian and actor Kevin Hart playing the role of a real overprotective dad. In the commercial we first see a young man arrive at a home to pick up his date. He coolly tells the girl who opens the door how good she looks and she smiles and says "Thank you" Out of nowhere we see Kevin Hart open the door a bit more to show himself to the teen. While smiling he then proceeds to ask the young man "Hey, you're the guy taking my little girl out, huh?" As the teen responds back that he is, Kevin offers to let him take his daughter out in his new car. As soon as they leave the beat from the tune "Another one bites the dust" starts to play. Simultaneously, we see Kevin's face quickly turn serious. The overprotective dad then turns on the car finder Application on his wristwatch. The next few scenes in the commercial are so funny you would think this was a comedy movie. In various shots we see the two teenagers cuddle, hug and try to kiss. All the while Kevin hart, the overprotective father, stalks them everywhere they go as he continues to pop out of nowhere to let the young man know he's watching. The ending of the commercial is epic and too funny not to laugh and chuckle.
Lyrics Used in Advert:
Steve walks warily down the street
With the brim pulled way down low.
Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet,
Machine guns ready to go.
Are you ready, hey, are you ready for this?
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
Viewers Want To Watch These Commercials
The Super Bowl has changed the way we see and treat commercials now. During regular programing, most of us use commercial breaks to go to the bathroom or do other things. However, only during the Super Bowl, people actually eagerly wait for the commercials to see what will come on. This may explain why advertisers are willing to pay about $100,000 a second to place an ad during the biggest game of the year.
Each year, companies compete to see who will get the most comments, likes, shares and buzz from their ad. Hyundai has managed to win this honor this year. The commercial has already garnished more than 14 million views on YouTube in a mere few days. If you haven't done so already, we suggest you watch it and laugh a little.
