At Kistunes we are always looking for the best commercials with popular songs in them to match them up for you since our app is designed just for that; to find and name the songs used in commercials.
The new Evian water ad called "Baby and Me" is by far one of the cutest and most enjoyable commercials we have seen in awhile. Using a remake tune of the hit song "Here Comes the Hotstepper" from Ini Kamoze, the advert literally makes you want to join in and dance while you watch it.
In the ad we see an older man walking through the streets of the big city. Suddenly he notices his reflection on the mirror of a bus and he sees himself as a baby. Confused by this he continues to look into other mirrors when he suddenly comes across a huge storefront mirror. As he sees his reflection showing him as an adorable toddler, he begins to dance and move while the baby reflecting in the mirror imitates his every move. Suddenly, several other people passing by join in on the fun dancing and grooving as well while they watch themselves in the mirror as babies too. By the time is over you realize that this ad is so cute, funny and catchy that you cannot help but want to see it again and again.
In case you've never heard the original, here it is:
Of course the song is part of what makes this advert such a success. When Ini Kamoze first released their version of 'Here Comes the Hotstepper" back in 1995 it was a huge hit for them.
It is not until the very end of the commercial that we see the Evian bottle of water shown and the phrase "Evian, live young" being displayed. By then, those watching are so enthralled in the ad that we are kind of sad to see it end.
If you have not seen this commercial we highly recommend that you do. We guarantee it will put a smile on your face and make you want to do the hotstepper.
