Dante's Inferno "Go to Hell" - Videogame Spot

Video games have changed dramatically the past decade due to the consoles being able to do so much in the way of graphics, sound and player participation. Kistunes, the app designed to connect commercials and the name of the songs in them, takes a look at Dante's Inferno "Go to Hell". This commercial first aired during the Super Bowl in 2010. Although it's been a few years since it was released, the commercial still has buzz and people talking about it.

One of the reasons for this is due to the graphics and overall success of the game. The second is also the song which Electronic Arts used for this commercial titled "Ain't no Sunshine" by Bill Withers. Anyone who knows this song also knows that it was and is still a huge pop hit. Very few people are able to listen to this song and not feel some sort of attachment to it due to the lyrics and what it represents as far as love and sentiments go.

Take a listen to the original song...

When we first see the commercial we would never associated it with such a melancholy tune. However, as the ad develops, we kind of understand why they used it. The commercial begins with a beautiful girl holding out her hand as if reaching out to the viewers. We then see a soldier (Dante) puffing and huffing as he runs and falls into a pit of fire. As he reaches the bottom, we see dragons spitting fire along with numerous demons in all shapes and sizes. Then the message "Hell awaits" is displayed on the screen as the name of the game, the platforms for which they are released and the day it will be available are displayed in the ending.

Lyrics:

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

Only darkness every day

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

And this house just ain't no home

Anytime she goes away

Anytime she goes away

Video gamers all over are not the only ones who enjoyed this commercial due to the graphics and catchy tune used. The staff here at Kistunes actually watched the video at least 5 times and then searched for the original song in its entirety to watch and listen to it one more time. We are sure you will do the same as well. Enjoy!
